On April 19, we held our second charity fair of the year, featuring traditional haivky (Easter songs and dances), Cossack-style kulish served for donations, as well as various homemade foods and goods.
Together with socially responsible businesses and artisans, we managed to raise 225,000 UAH.
For reference, the total cost of purchasing, delivering to Ukraine, repairing the vehicle, and equipping it with off-road tires amounts to 340,000 UAH.
“Our main goal is to raise funds to purchase a pickup truck for the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade. This is the legendary ‘Kholodnyi Yar’ brigade, operating in the hottest areas of the front line. Pickup trucks are essential for combat missions, evacuations, and ammunition supply. Given the difficult economic situation, fundraising for the technical support of the military is becoming more challenging. However, today we brought together nearly 30 partners, each contributing 20-100% of their sales to our cause. The conditions allowed us to both preserve Easter traditions and support the army. We are already planning another event in June to bring together a community of conscious and proactive people to act together for Ukraine’s Defense Forces,” said Yuriy Tanasiychuk, head of the “APRIL” foundation.
We also introduced attendees to our work. “Our volunteers showcased drones that we design ourselves for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, camouflage elements, charging stations, and products made with 3D printers in the APRIL workshop,” said event organizer Roksolana Mudrak.
Events like this are important not only for fundraising but also for preserving and passing on Ukrainian traditions, as well as bringing together like-minded people and fostering a strong community. In January, we sang carols together, and this Sunday we celebrated Easter with traditional haivky.
We sincerely thank everyone who supported this charity event and encourage others to join the fundraising effort. Vehicles are about action and saving the lives of our fellow citizens. Donate and open your own fundraising jars.
