In late July and early August, the April Foundation volunteer team completed another frontline mission.
The trip covered the Kharkiv, Izium, Sumy, Pokrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia sectors.
“Together with our partners from the Dutch volunteer organization Hope4Ukraine, we assembled another substantial package of support for Ukraine’s Defense Forces,” says Head of April Foundation Yurii Tanasiichuk.
During the mission, we delivered:
- Two Volkswagen vehicles for the 3rd Army Corps, including an electronic warfare (EW) unit, and the 125th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade for logistics operations.
- Four smoothbore shotguns for Ukraine’s Defense Forces operating in the Sumy, Izium, and Zaporizhzhia sectors.
- High-performance laptops with upgraded graphics cards for the 72nd “Black Zaporozhians” Brigade and the Special Operations Forces (SOF).
- Starlink terminals, 3D printers, and a drone detector for the 116th Brigade and the State Special Transport Service (SSTS).
- More than two tonnes of humanitarian aid for the volunteer kitchen “The Defenders’ Path.”
- A refrigerated truck for a brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Its mission is highly specialized, so further details cannot be disclosed.
On the return journey to Lviv, we also transported two combat vehicles for major repairs.
This is only a brief overview of what we are able to share publicly.
In total, the mission delivered UAH 1.4 million worth of support. The team’s travel expenses amounted to UAH 84,000.
Virtually everything delivered during this trip consisted of items that cannot simply be shipped by postal service. This once again demonstrates that frontline missions remain both operationally necessary and economically efficient.
But in the end, this is not just about the numbers. It is about the risks of working 20-30 kilometres from the front line, never knowing when or where the next strike may happen.
Yet we keep going.
Because it has to be done.
“Everything described above was made possible by every person who chose to help,” Yurii Tanasiichuk adds. “Thank you to all our donors, and thank you to the ambassadors of our August Savior fundraising campaign.
Special thanks to the Chipo retail chain. Without your support, our travel costs would have been a third higher.”
The mission is complete.
The fundraising continues.
Your support remains critically important.
